Many commentaries exist on the Gita, but the works of Acharya Madhva—the Gita Bhashya and Gita Tatparya—capture its true essence.
His understanding is considered direct, as he is believed to have witnessed the discourse as Hanuman and was guided by Sri Vedavyasa himself.
